The server activates it with one connection to our licensing service, and the limits rise on the installation you already run.
Until the first activation succeeds, the server runs as the Free edition, and it retries by itself while it cannot reach our licensing service. The licensing page covers firewalls and isolated networks.

Billing and refunds
Yes. A paid subscription bought on this website is annual, billed in advance, and renews automatically for successive annual terms unless you cancel before it renews. The renewal price is the one communicated to you before renewal. You cancel in Paddle's customer portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term, so you are not charged for a further renewal. The Terms of Service have the detail.
Yes, within 14 days of the initial purchase of an annual subscription through this website: a valid request gets a full refund. Make it through Paddle's buyer support or by emailing billing@skyrsoft.app, and Paddle returns it to the original payment method. Renewal charges are not automatically refundable, so cancel before the renewal date if you don't want one. If a renewal is charged unexpectedly, contact us within 14 days of that charge and we will consider the circumstances. Your statutory rights apply regardless. The Refund Policy has the detail.
Paddle, our merchant of record, for orders placed on this website. Paddle is the seller for the transaction and handles payment, invoicing, applicable taxes and subscription billing. Prices are in US dollars, and Paddle adds VAT, GST or sales tax for your location at checkout. Invoices, card changes and cancellation are in Paddle's hosted portal rather than by emailing us. Already a customer and need more certificates, targets or seats? Contact support rather than buying a second subscription — we raise the count on your existing licence and bill the pro-rated difference for the rest of the term.
